The Children’s Hearings System is Scotland’s unique system for care and justice for children and young people. It aims to ensure the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people who face serious problems in their lives and who are in need of care and protection – including those who have offended – through a legal decision-making lay tribunal.
