This incorporates the reference designs, hardware derived from reference designs and networking with teams across the whole company to identify how to increase business opportunities for all players in the Arm ecosystem.• Product Managed the Go-to-Market strategy and deployment from concept to availability for IoT Reference Designs for free download, they remove the common problems and uncertainties faced by OEMs wanting to build IoT products. Self-conducted extensive market research identified the common pain points experienced by customers when developing IoT products which were used to redefine roadmaps and prioritise features across the whole BU.• Product Managed the Mbed Hall of Fame web page and Design Win tracking strategy used to promote our products as tier-1 grade.• Product Manager (Scrum Product Owned) the Reference Deployments Programme which resulted in pocket-sized products our sales team could show during prospective customer meetings to demonstrate the full capabilities of Arm technology. I gathered market requirements from our sales team and sales prospects to ensure the end products attained the exact requirements. Drawing on knowledge gained from my engineering days combined with marketing messaging helped define working products. The team functioned as an OEM customer, building a real product, it successfully flushed out many issues the business hadn’t realised someone would face, resulting in improved communication and collaboration across all teams in the BU to ensure we deliver a coherent and useable product to our customers

As part of the research and innovations group I had the opportunity to design and produce an indoor navigation project based on low cost low power devices. Realised Bluetooth lacked mesh networking so invented something called BTLE mesh, later renamed to CSR Mesh and finally Bluetooth Mesh.Developed hardware schematics and PCB (including RF) to allow the group to develop algorithms and take the product to market.Architected a development platform to be used with creating future versions of Bluetooth chips.

Recruited a test team in China capable of validating a 3G protocol stack while also supporting legacy product integration at customer sites.Managed all AT Command validation required to get a protocol stack through approvals.Managed a global team of engineers; assigning tasks and motivating to meet deadlines.Produced network deployment maps depicting areas of Guangdong and Hong Kong where potential field test problems may arise.Built relationshsips with network providers in order to allow live cellular testing and insight in to network blackspots.Ensured that all company quality management procedures were followed throughout the validation project.

Supported customers (LG, TCL, JCT, Kejian, Nintaus, Panda, GSL, and Soutec) at all stages of bringing phones from prototype level through manufacturing and in to mass production.Applied hardware, software, RF and product management knowledge to integrating GSM/GPRS modules in to full featured Palm smart-phone manufactured my Group Sense PDA Limited. Interface a GSM module in to tracking devices designed by Freewalker based on radio Network Measurement Reports.Consulted customers with formal GCF and type approval testing.Ensured products power management was safe for mass production and release in to the market in various climates.Managed all queries and support enquiries from customers, often being able to solve the issue before it was escalated to the R&D team. Designed and enforced new procedures for issue handling and tracking.

Wrote applications for automated mobile device testing (MFC).Wrote automatic test scripts for each test case specified in 3GPP test documents (in-house script language).Ownership of various components of an MMI including security, polyphonic audio and production test features that was mass produced for the China market. Developed PCMCIA and PDA clip on modules for GSM modems. Similar to todays USB plug in 3G dongles. Designed and built the worlds first USB - GPRS class 12 dongle. Ownership of power management within new cell phone deisgns.Responsible for designing and tuning audio circuitry in GSM devices and overcoming typical TDMA buzzing.

Multiple summer positions at Acorn assisting with testing and debugging personal computers. Feeding back hardware change recommendations to the R&D team.Testing pre released equipment to validate software is stable.
