Strain Gage Test Specialist

Repair Department in house Lead; This position included the building and setup of the repair center, as well as daily Intake, initial examination, and sorting of repairs of Decatur radar systems to appropriate technicians, and light repair work including power cabling, board replacement, and casing.

This position was involved with 12V battery and installation for heavy equipment on occasion, golf carts, automobiles, various consumer electronics and also involved custom and special order battery packs, simple rewiring, charging system diagnosis, and simple maintenance on top of customer service activities.

• Oil moving parts of timepieces  • Repair or replace broken, damaged, or worn parts on timepieces, using lathes, drill presses, and hand tools • Clean, rinse, and dry timepiece parts, using solutions and ultrasonic or mechanical watch-cleaning machines  • Disassemble timepieces and inspect them for defective, worn, misaligned, or rusty parts, using loupes  • Reassemble timepieces, replacing glass faces and batteries, before returning them to customers  • Estimate repair costs and timepiece values  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems  • Getting Information  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work  • Training and Teaching Others  • Experience with: Beat amplifiers, Bench polishers, Brushing tools, Gemological microscopes, Jewelers' loupes, Micro calipers, and other tools and devices.

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment  • Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications  • Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates  • Estimating the Quantifiable Characteristics of Products, Events, or Information  • Repairing and Maintaining Electronic Equipment (board level)  • Experience with: Digital calipers, Digital multimeters, Digital voltmeters DVM, Laser micro-welding equipment, Precision tweezers, Soldering irons and Desoldering stations
