The COVID-19 Tech Response Team was founded on 15 May 2020.Unanimously Confirmed and Approved by the Board of Governors 27 August 2020, pursuant to the Geneva Conventions of 1949, the Statutes of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, Republic Act No. 10072, and other relevant policies, protocols, and laws.Humanity. Always There.Currently the Lead Systems Engineer of the COVID-19 Platform and the Tech Response Arm of the Philippine Red Cross working directly in the Office of the Chairman. Remotely facilitated the deployment of the nationwide platform managing COVID-19 RT-PCR Tests for the Philippine Red Cross through building a Lab Information System in TypeScript, NextJS, GraphQL, Docker. Further automated and optimized the internal flow to improve and ensure fast delivery of COVID-19 results.Through this endeavor, we collaborated with government agencies to improve mass testing in the Philippines in Local Government Units and for incoming travelers at airports and seaports. We built a scalable platform through the use of Google Cloud Platform and DigitalOcean using Kubernetes to be used by 5,000+ individuals each day -- allowing for upwards of 2.5x testing capacity for COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Dashboard Philippines is an organization supporting quarantine life in the Philippines by aggregating information and increasing transparency for better decision making. Within Dashboard Philippines, I:- Worked in a team of around 30 people using Typescript, NodeJS, and GraphQL- Migrated the backend infrastructure from Heroku to Google App Engine to scale automatically- Contributed to the development of a Docker Container for WebSocket Subscriptions in Apollo Server- Worked on building Unit Tests for the backend API- Increased server performance through building a cache layer- Reduced overhead on NextJS Application to speed up the rendering of 10,000+ data points on a map- Sped up the deployment pipeline by integrating GitHub Actions to build and deploy to Google App Engine- Created an internal tool for onboarding more people to the GitHub Organization without any human intervention required- Worked with security partners towards the security and integrity of the platform (backend and frontend code)- Collaborated with partners in the Philippine Government towards integrating our platform with their data to increase transparency
