I am an experienced and certified Security and safety professional, a trainer, and systems auditor with over 10 years of experience in Security, investigations, and Safety operations in a wide range of fields including oil and Gas, manufacturing, Telecom, Service industry and in the Private Security industry.I am a member of ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) with member number 18855387. I am an accredited/certified security and safety trainer/tutor under Highfield Qualifications and Smart Compliance Ltd, and member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at technical level.I have international certification in Security Guarding from Highfield international, an International Certification in Occupational Safety and Health from the British Safety Council, an approved tutor/trainer certification to deliver security and safety courses, a bachelor’s degree of Science in Biosystems Engineering of Gulu University Uganda plus several other security, risk, and safety certifications. I also have tremendous knowledge and certification in ISO standards implementation including ISO 18788 (Security Operations Management System), ISO 45001 (OHSMS), ISO 14001 (EMS) and ISO 9001 (QMS).I am currently the Head of Safety, Investigations & Security Compliance at Security Group Uganda Ltd, a position I have held for 5 years now. I previously worked as a Safety & Security Manager for Tugende Limited, worked with G4S Uganda as the HSSE & Investigations Manager (04 years), and as Safety and Security Project Manager for the CNOOC contract under G4S Uganda (01 year) and worked with Roofings limited as the HSE Officer. I also support organizations as a Safety and Security consultant to set up management systems for ISO standards, document formulations and reviews, conducting private investigations, HSSE trainings and systems audits plus monitoring their systems to ensure continual improvement.

• Identify opportunities and projects to develop a Health and Safety culture with the company• Implementation of the G4S Africa Health and Safety strategy• Provide input to the executive management team for the management and ongoing development of the company’s business continuity plan• Develop H&S South Africa Strategy• Development, implementation and management of Health and safety systems to achieve G4S Health and Safety KPIs• Review policy and procedures to ensure compliancy with all applicable national health and safety legislation• Identify non-compliance with all applicable national health and safety legislation and implement corrective actions• Monitor compliance with the G4S Africa Health and Safety Policy• Identify H&S risks and develop procedures to mitigate and manage them.• Participate in the relevant sub regional Health and Safety committee• Conduct internal investigations into Health and safety incidents, as necessary.• Conduct Health and Safety Audits as prescribed by the G4S Health and Safety Policy• Ensure that all necessary risk assessments within the country are conducted as per the G4S policy• Compile and submit H&S reports through to relevant channels• Review and follow up on H&S incidents to ensure corrective action has been taken• Prepare and manage the Health & Safety management budget• Responsible for the development and management of the country’s asset register (excluding computer equipment)• Co-ordinate and manage environmental related initiatives• Co-ordinate and manage community social responsibility projects• Develop and deliver training programs in accordance with Sub regional and Regional initiatives.
