Responsible for managing the overall General Ledger Accounting group, including direct supervisory responsibility for the General Ledger Accounting Manager, the Finance Operations Manager, and the Accounts Payable Manger, as well as other senior accountants on the team. Our broader group owns the montly GL closeout, purchase accounting on M&A activities, company subsidiary accounting, company financial instruments, and daily operations related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. My team also works closely with the Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Budgeting, and Internal Audit / SoX Contorl teams to ensure the institution's financial directives are met quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Managed a team of eight employees who were responsible for the monthly and quarterly closeout of the company's general ledger. Also took the lead on financial integration / purchase accounting related to M&A activities. Responsibilities included direct oversight of the Accounts Payable Manager and team, review and approval of GL entries and ledger maintenance, adherence to relevant SoX controls, and collaboration with members of the reporting, reconciliation, and financial planning & analysis teams.

Developed business cases and various financial analytics for the company's Project Management Office; Worked as the Project Manager for the Finance and Accounting workstream during the bank's completion of a Merger of Equals (total asset size of $42b).

Prepared and posted financial transactions to the company's general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; Assisted in the timely closing of company books and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for each accounting period; Managed the fixed assets system and related transactions; Prepared financial statements and regulatory reports for the company's Broker-Dealer investment services subsidiary.

Prepared financial statements and various other reports for presentation of the company's financial position to management, investors, and other internal and external parties; Prepared periodic regulatory reports for governmental agencies.

Analyze and record financial transactions of the company and its subsidiaries to the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Provide in-branch support to bank clients for various financial products and services; investigate client financial needs in order to provide additional products and services.
