Specifically hired during the final stages of a large-scale expansion, which added two new buildings to the campus, including a new Bistro. Job duties included, but were not limited to:- Research and implement a brand-new Point-of-Sale system to be used across campus for all of Dining Services. This included training all staff and residents on a new online system through large training sessions, small group meetings, and one-on-one training sessions.- Train waitstaff on front-of-house standards, many of whom were students who had never before had a job.- Holding team accountable for maintaining standards of service through ongoing trainings, coaching documents, performance improvement plans, and one-on-one guidance when needed.- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, employees, other departments, vendors, technicians, and guests.- Regularly obtain feedback from residents and employees and work with the Dining Director and Executive Chef to implement viable suggestions.- Work with the Dining Director, Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and all members of the Management Team to ensure compliance with State, County, and Bon Appetit standards to earn *Substantial Compliance* through the State of Oregon.- Interview potential applicants and assist with onboarding and orientations as necessary.- Promote and engender a positive work environment through open communication and an open door.- Enact and promote various employee programs from Bon Appétit Corporate offices, including both a hospitality program and a new waste management program.
