• Supervised by: Dr. Corinne Galgay, Dr. Naomi Stahl, & Dr. Maggie McGuire • Provide psychological services to Veterans with serious mental illness in an outpatient, multidisciplinary program. • Provide psychoeducation presentations to hospital leadership staff. • Co-lead four weekly outpatient groups using evidence-based treatments, including mindfulness, disordered eating, cognitive behavioral therapy-depression, cultural acceptance and racial empowerment (CARE), and men's group. • Provide short-term individual psychotherapy to Veterans using evidence-based treatments. • Attend weekly didactic seminars covering suicide prevention, motivational interviewing, and providing culturally informed treatment. • Maintain Veteran files on Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). • Participate in weekly individual supervision, group supervision, and peer consultation with a licensed psychologist.

• Applied Industrial-organizational techniques to increase workplace morale by conducting leadership training on attitudes and behavior skills to apply when dealing with difficult customers. • Frequently designed merchandising layouts and displays based on trends, targets and research. At Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, I was a Child Abuse Research Assistant selected to work on the Project Invest team. I strengthened research support services for the Child Abuse Department, by improving data construction, translation, manipulation, and quality assurance practices by incorporating a systematic filing system which increased the confidentiality of patient information, leading to improved organization and data maintenance. I also collaborated with clinical staff, case managers, investigators, social workers, and physicians to devise viable solutions incorporating the principles of Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), including adequate Human Subject Protection (HSP) when conducting research involving human subjects. I frequently analyzed psycho-logical principles, theories, methods, and techniques and their appropriate use with children who have been affected by child abuse and the role it plays on their cognitive functioning, emotions, relationship with other kids and adulthood.
