Phillip likes to make it fun and easy for people to think differently. He does this by adapting and applying multidisciplinary frameworks while providing an open, safe space. By modeling inclusive thinking and behavior coupled with techniques to distribute decision making, he is able to facilitate the power of diverse groups of people to think, plan, and make decisions. It is his passion to work with complex issues and groups to collaborate and co-create. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 dogs, hiking, and biking. He went to three different colleges for undergrad—studying engineering, art history, and economics—and earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Phillip started and operated a small web design company building websites until he decided to return to grad school to get an M.A. in Design Management. Since grad school, he has pursued work using design thinking, service design, and human-centered design techniques. Phillip's motto: Fight for justice and build for peace—wave the flag of the future.
