CurrentResponsibilities include installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting SATCOM systems, ensuring adherence to daily maintenance and security protocols. Coordinating repairs and trouble tickets with SATCOM Maintenance Center in Aberdeen, Maryland. Operating various equipment such as satellite modems, switches, amplifiers, and generators. Managing telecommunications supplies and installing CISCO routers, switches, and VoIP phones. Configuring and testing equipment using CodeMettle/Maxview software and network analyzers. Conducting installation, testing, and maintenance on satellite communication devices including antennas and modems. Utilizing test equipment like Fireberd signal generators and spectrum analyzers. Programming and operating TDMA, FDMA, and DATUM modems. Maintaining inventory records, rack elevations, generator reports and Master Station Logs.Assigned as stand-in Generator Technician for 40, 60, and 80KW Kohler Generators.Additionally, served as Site Manager for MRHN (MARCENT Regional Hub Node) and oversaw operations and schedules at the Technical Control Facility. Acted as a Subject Matter Expert for DATAPATH Tiger Team, performing installations and repairs on antenna systems and Earth Terminals, globally.
