Phillip Kasofsky has been a physician, professor, writer, corporate executive, business consultant and an active investor, investment banker and money manager for more than forty years. Phillip earned undergraduate degrees from Columbia before going on to earning his MD at NYU followed by an MBA in Finance and Economics at the Stern School of Business. He was the first medical doctor to work in Wall Street initially advising investors on new medical innovations then moving into everyday medical practice, technologies such as artificial hearts, MRI scanners, pacemakers, gene machines, automatic electrical defibrillators, high definition ultrasound and medical lasers. He has been a practicing ER physician for several decades. He went on to serve for more than a decade as medical director at Time, Inc. on corporate health issues. Phillip lives in Dutchess County, within striking distance of Wall Street. Since 2000, he has been managing money and teaching people how to invest through lectures and writing. His latest project is a financial education program on long term investing and website aimed at those cohorts un- and under invested in the stock market.
