It Project Manager And Project ComplianceBarclays Personal & Corporate Bank Jan 2014 - Mar 2016Barclays, Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, LondonRecruited to assist in a number of highly sensitive projects helping the bank streamline its core business areas and save substantial operating costs by closing down unwanted business units and/or decommissioning legacy platforms.• Headed up a new project to replace the existing Wealth Planning Client and Business administration system to implement planned savings on operational running costs of 250K annually.• Project required migration of relevant system functions from legacy application to Barclays Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform.• Secured and managed the estimated £1 million budget required to deliver the solution.• Managed multiple work streams and development groups both in the UK and India. Total project resources varying between 20-30 people depending on phase of project lifecycle.• Used Agile methodology to deliver first phase of the project in Nov 2015. • In 2014 recruited to join a large programme team to help separate Barclay’s off-shore Banking & Investment system from its Trust Business so that the off-shore Trust businesses could trade separately and then ultimately be sold off.• Conducted a high-priority investigation and report into the Foreign Exchange (FX) trading team’s procedures and systems based in London on how (or not) they would be affected by the above project. Presented recommendation to Senior Management which was accepted and the result was the FX trading desk were able to successfully navigate the changes with minimal operational impact, no financial loss to business or loss of tax status for off-shore clients.• Successfully steered the overall Banking separation project above through 14 levels of internal compliance regulations required by Barclays to achieve formal sign off and permission to continue business under the new trading entities on “go live” date. -
It Project Manager And Team LeaderBarclays Wealth And Investment Management 2008 - Jan 2014Barclays, Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, LondonMoved to new Technology area within the Wealth Division taking on the responsibility of Team Leadership for the Business Analysts as well as retaining Project Management responsibility for major projects within this area.• Managed and delivered a priority project in Barclay’s biggest off-shore island location (Jersey) completely re-designing the client Valuation Reporting and associated technology procedures to bring them in line with Barclay’s strategic reporting formats.• Project was delivered on time to coincide with strategic UK target date.• The report changes were delivered to over 8000 of the Banks High Net Worth clients every quarter so that their off-shore investment portfolio was reported in the same style and detail as their UK investments. . • Designed and delivered a new automated data delivery system from Barclays to Factset (3rd party Vendor) enabling greater volumes of sophisticated Performance Reporting to be offered to a wider range of High Net Worth clients.• Automated data-feed solution helped facilitate a service offering that Barclay’s competitors were offering and hence stem a growing loss of clients and their portfolios. • Delivered a new Delivery vs Payment automated platform for our Corporate Wealth clients to match other Banking competitors. Completed within 6 months. • Headed up management of the Wealth Technology BA team (5 resources). Assigning people to projects and providing required mentoring and support for 2 years, whilst maintaining own project responsibilities.• Successfully delivered a major system upgrade for the entire Wealth Management back office platform Quasar to avoid steep annual “out of market level support” maintenance costs of £70K.• Project budget was £1.5 million working with a 3rd party vendor and technology teams from both organisations and total project resource pool of 25-30 people.• New system rolled out on time and training provided to over 700 Barclays staff both in London and regional centres.

Technology Delivery ManagerBarclays Wealth (Financial Planning) 2005 - 2008Barclays, Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, LondonManaged system upgrades and changes to the Barclays Financial Planning system and introduced a new Automated Dialler platform for generating new business for this division.• Took over a project that had failed on 2 previous attempts to develop an internal solution for a new Automated Dialler system for an off-shore sales team on the Isle of Man to help generate new Financial Planning business.• Convinced the business to re-think solution plan and select a pre-packaged application from the market that also aligned with the remaining budget, saving Barclays both time and expanding development costs.• Once preferred vendor was selected the system was delivered into production in 8 months.• New Business increased by 20% in the 1st 6 months of going live and 30% by end of year one.

System Migration ManagerGerrard Investment Management Limited 2004 - 2005Millennium Bridge House, LondonFollowing the purchase of Gerrard Investment Management Limited (GIML) by Barclays I was one of only a handful of ex-GIML technology staff offered a role to help with the migration.• Managed the key work stream to migrate and reconcile all the back-office data between GIML and Barclays, controlling a team of 30 developers and testers from both organisations as well as the 3rd party software vendor.• The migration included 60K client personal records, over 100K portfolio accounts and related transaction history information and financial details.
