For three decades, provided land planning services and wrote feasibility studies for real estate land developments in Texas, Louisiana and the southeastern States which included preparing financial packages for the REIT’s on behalf of my clients, Texas based real estate developers. This talent for raising capital is my strongest area of expertise. During the past ten (10) years, served as a special consultant to the board of a national management firm and was successful in helping them raise approximately $150 million in equity to purchase multi-family projects from HUD and the RTC. In addition to my role as an investor, land planner, financial package writer and developer, I’ve owned professional services companies including an architectural and construction company that managed the development and construction of large apartment projects, shopping centers, office buildings and phased land development projects during the 1970 to 1990 era. My area of expertise was the creation of the overall business plans [inclusive of the research, narrative of the project, cash flow analysis including supervision of the necessary M.A.I. appraisals necessary to underwrite the loan] and presentation of the project for loan submissions to banks, savings & loans, REITs, insurance companies, Goldman Saks and other investment banking firms. Served as Senior Associate for W.B. Grimes & Co., a forty year old media mergers, acquisitions and Valuation Company where I was assigned the mid-west and southern region of the US and am the national associate for all Internet and newspaper chains and group work. During 1997-1998, worked as Southern Regional Manager for AdQuest, an internet company, owned by Journal Communications, a 6,000 employee owned Company whose one hundred fifty (150) papers include the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal.
