During my internship with the Naval Warfare Surface Center Carderock Division as part of the Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program, I played a key role in advancing the pressure sensor calibration system. Collaborating closely with engineers, I conducted thorough research and development to modernize and enhance the system. My contributions included designing and implementing new software to replace the existing system, requiring me to independently learn and apply programming languages such as Python and Java alongside utilizing software tools like PyCharm and PyVISA.In addition to software development, I worked on sensor calibration and dynamic pressure measurement processes, ensuring precision and efficiency. I also gained hands-on experience with additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies, successfully transitioning a CAD-modeled component from concept to reality. Throughout the project, I regularly communicated updates and provided strategic input during high-level engineering meetings, contributing to data analysis, statistics, and system optimization efforts.This experience sharpened my technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, all while supporting the mission of the U.S. Navy.
