I am an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer, passionate about taking peoples ideas, envisaging its potential and making it a reality. I am able to offer highly refined skills in fluid-mechanical systems design and am able to validate the operation and performance of these systems.I am an avid experimenter. I enjoy getting stuck into building and refining. In terms of analysis, I have know-how of existing tools that I can use (such as ANSYS, Strand7, OpenFOAM) but I am also able to build new tools fit for a specific task which may require specific knowledge or behaviors which are uncommon.My PhD involved several areas of design of fluid-mechanical systems including rotating machinery, pressure vessels and heat transfer applications (such as heat exchangers and thermal imaging). After my PhD, I continued to develop my skills in fluid-mechanical systems design and validation as a postdoctoral research fellow. These included sand blasting nozzle and silencer design, experimental supersonic wind tunnel design and high-performance pneumatic valve design.
