Job skills include customer service, claims investigation, extensive knowledge of Texas auto insurance law, and maintaining licensing through continued education of insurance. My daily work is based heavily on claim handling and phone call intake, properly recording information, and in office investigation of police reports, areas where accidents take place, questioning of insureds, claimants, and possible witnesses. When calls are received it is my responsibility to determine what steps need to be taken to bring a claim to its further point, determine liability for accidents based on resources readily available and if not readily available determine what resources I can gain access to in order to determine liability within a timely manner. During an investigation there may be factors that do not allow may department to handle a claim any further, those claims must be released to the proper handler/team for proper assistance.
