I led our team in conducting military operations, establishing, and revitalizing relationships with military partners, and developing new green field relationships to improve interagency coordination and interoperability. While deployed, we re-established a full time Civil Affairs Team in Lithuania, facilitated US support to Lithuanian and Latvian multinational exercises, and led numerous training exchanges with host nation military partners on topics from Military Decision Making to Civil Affairs, Civil Military Cooperation, and Crisis Response. We frequently engaged with the Latvian population through interactive community engagement such as first aid education familiarization, static displays, school visits, and volunteering. We facilitated US Army participation in these events to deepen relationships between the Army and the populations we serve. Community engagement required multinational and multi-agency coordination between the US Embassy Riga, US Army, Latvian National Armed Forces, and civilian counterparts. Several outreach events impacted upwards of 1,500 people, and publicized by the US Army and Latvia news, highlighted in the below links to media coverage. Show less -
