I am a Principal Engineer with Dynatest Consulting focusing on pavement testing. I market, propose and bid, execute, and report on all aspects of non-destructive pavement testing. I conduct structural testing using our Falling Weight Deflectometers (FWD) and Heavy Weight Deflectometers (HWD). I complete surface friction testing using our Dynatest road and runway friction testers. And I execute pavement functional testing through manual and automated pavement condition surveys. Our automated surveys use our Dynatest pavement management survey system with the laser crack measuring system (LCMS) to identify, quantify, and summarize surface distresses and rutting.I have a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and I taught Civil Engineering at the Air Force Academy specializing in airfield and highway pavement design and geotechnical engineering. I studied transportation under Professor Erol Tutumluer at the U of I and my research involved airfield pavements. I am a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin and Colorado.In the Air Force, I was lucky enough to have a vast array of Civil Engineering jobs; including everything from conducting blast research in Israel and designing crash resistant barriers in Hawaii to managing multi-million dollar construction projects.
