About Evan P.
As an undergraduate I enjoyed teaching younger students science, math, and languages. Working on preclinical and translational cancer research projects involving imaging and nanotechnology (at Sloan-Kettering), I became inspired to investigate and communicate new applications and discoveries. With a growing an interest in interdisciplinary research, I started a PhD program at Purdue University that suited my life sciences background while challenging me in a new field--biomedical engineering. Publishing my research (8 first-author manuscripts) and leading projects in cardiovascular and cancer research have been important milestones in my career.
