Mentored and certified close to 100 local and international Field Service Engineers through our 6-week intense laser maintenance training courses. Translated new highly technical consumer electronics features, from Japanese Design Engineers, and translated it down to something the Sales force can sell and run with.PROBLEM:Every big screen manufacturer says they have the best picture quality, features, etc. The sales people on the floor get them all confused, and don't know which brand to promote.ACCOMPLISHNENT:I created the industry's first "FAST FACTS" bi-fold laminated pocket reference card for HITACHI's big screen TVs. This gave them a "Cheat Sheet" to use, which helped them sound like the authority on our products. They used this tool as a crutch to close the sale. IMPACT: Our sales hit record highs across the board that first year because in-store sales reps were using my tool to easily explain our advantages to their customers. We learned that our top 4 competitors copied my idea the following year because of it's phenomenal success.

Update and conduct formal classroom training on General Overview of Qualcomm CDMA Infrastructure Equipment (2 days), and Technical Overview of Qualcomm CDMA Infrastructure Equipment (5 days) to domestic and international audiences, using a live Russian language interpreter when necessary.ACCOMPLISHMENT: I took the initiative to single-handedly rewrite the QCS-50 (2-day Introductory course) and QCS-100 (5-day Technical Overview course) training manuals in a more organized and flowing sequence, while also improving and creating new illustrations to enhance the clarity of the content.IMPACT: Improved the quality and effectiveness of the course and delivery method, as indicated by a compliment from our CFO who took the same class the prior year, but had to take it again because he admitted that when he left the class he was more confused than ever. That's why he had to take it again. He further told our department director that the way I presented the material made him understand the system crystal clear. My class helped him make more informed purchase decisions.

Perform installation, testing, and training on Scale System Controllers and Scale Workstations for USPS data collection systems.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Took the initiative to pioneer the company's FIRST formal training program. Created technical training for their Process Weighing Instrument and PID Rate Controller product lines. That's when I made a career change from Field Service Engineer to Technical Instructor. IMPACT: Significantly reduced my incoming tech support calls by 43%, while improving our Customer Service offerings and creating a new revenue-generating income for the department.

Test, troubleshoot, and repair Integrated Avionics and Computerized Test Station equipment for the F-111 Ardvark Fighter Jet. Won multiple awards while in the Air Force. Served as part of the 21-gun salute detail in the elite Honor Guard Ceremonial Services group.ACCOMPLISHMENT: Took the initiative to validate the calibration results of our new replacement test stations by re-testing & calibrating the same unit on our older test stations. It FAILED, and I discovered that the calibrated device would have made the Pilot miss his bomb target by approximately 85 feet.IMPACT: The officials at the Pentagon released an Air Force wide directive to not accept the new test stations until the anomaly was resolved. I discovered the problem and informed the design engineers of my finding. I won the 1987 Maintenance Professional of the Year Award, and an incentive flight on a supersonic F-111A fighter jet, because of my discovery.
