Set up the first remote sales team, outside of UK HQ, for SoftwareONE in the UK. Responsible for winning new business, growing and leading the northern sales team.

This role was more about addressing the RFI/RFP response side of Government sales. Focusing on improving bid success rates, establishing processes and monitoring improvements to directly effect bottom line.Already sales manager of government for Phoenix and managing a great team of people, we were lucky enough as part of a great team to win GPS nee Buying Solutions which elevated our Government business exponentially.

I was approached personally to join Phoenix to stabilise and then grow the Local Government business which was not reaching it's potential. I developed and grew the team, recruited externals, introduced training programs and the success is evident.

My responsibilities included motivating and developing individuals and teams to successfully and continually target exceed. Signed the first ever ACPO Framework developed Police, Fire, Local and Central Government and managed individual specialist sales teams from £15m to £54m. Worked closely with the Corporate Sales Manager and Sales Manager for Health.
