Architected the core platform and managed a team of bioinformatics, software, and data engineers to deliver Mantis, a SaaS-based whole genome analysis tool, using automated annotation and classification methods. Managed all phases of the software development lifecycle and translated business requirements into product and technology solutions. Led engineering efforts that resulted in a successful merger and acquisition with Human Longevity, Inc.

Executed the research, design, and development of a whole genome annotation pipeline (SG-ADVISER), for institutional use. Investigated and characterized novel short random repeats and transposons in the mating locus of plus and minus unicellular green alga, Chlamydomonas. Constructed and curated in-house gene model annotations of Chlamydomonas. Facilitated research efforts to determine reproductive sexual evolution of unicellular green alga. Identified laboratory project requirements that could benefit from bioinformatics analyses, and led design and implementation efforts.

Elevated to leadership role in web development efforts after CTO left company abruptly. Identified software design patterns in existing web application and re-constructed full, sequence diagrams within a week. Contributed to software development, analysis, coding, and testing without documentation.
