As a volunteer area coordinator for BYU-Idaho, I act as a liaison between employers in Colorado and the University, seeking business contacts with a potential to identify or develop quality internship and career opportunities for students.

As the only senior missionary couple on the island, my wife and I worked for two years in a supporting role serving four English-speaking branches (congregations) of the Church on Okinawa. Most of these folks are American military personnel and their families, Department of Defense civilians and contractors. Opportunities to serve abound, and there is no one more deserving than the dedicated men and women who wear the uniform of our country. One focus of our service was the Young Single Adult program, serving troops who constantly flowed in and out of our area. We also worked closely with approximately 30 young missionaries at any one time who were assigned to serve among the local Japanese population.
