It is interesting to think about all I have had the opportunity to do in my career. I started off an Accounting student hoping to make it through my first year of college ( back when you took more than Gen Ed your first year and had to declare a major ). I love everything about my accounting degree and all it has brought me as I balance budgets, thinking about how to ensure alignment, working with Finance, EBITA and cost efficiency. However, I had a professor pull me aside and suggest I look closer at exploring computers and stats. So I did and graduated with both and Accounting and a Management Information Sciences degree with a focus in decision sciences.I have programed in COBOL & JCL. Loved it.I have lead data migration projects leveraging SQL and Oracle dat tools.I have written easily 100+ project plans in at least 5 different methodologies.I enjoy Agile when it is really Agile, not just a stand up and a planning session.I have lead transformation projects in a lot of different spaces: - optimization of assay development ( integrating all the various silo'd tool and data sets ) - e-commerce revolution to help setup services vs products in the e-commerce space - marketplaces and membership experiences - global websites, mobile applications and in app messaging - social integrations - startups in real estate technology to change the buying process - startups in philanthropic giving - MarTech - simple little tool to send coupons via email, which lead to OmniChannel comms - SMS answers, with AI built in to auto reply to questions that have bene asked - Content Taxonomy for reuse and modular build out - Automated tactic builders where users just click the data and the final outcome is built automatically - Integration upon Integration upon Integration - Next Best Action driven sales models to guide selling based upon behaviors, experiences, and history - learned what it was like to build a product for someone you will never actually meet - understanding what it means to be a change agent when no one wants to change - Digital Digital Digital. So much Digital transformation - it is always transforming and I am so thankful I have been a long for that ride.I have learned so much from so many ( good and bad ) and also mentored many along the way. I cannot wait to tackle my next challenge. There is nothing I won't try to learn, invest time in or explore if it makes me better for it. Product Management, Transformation, Digital, MarTech and Budgets are my jam. I just love it. All of it.
