Responsible for the Applied Technology Business of Battelle Memorial Institute. Applied Technology is one of twelve businesses in Battelle aligned into four key business lines; Program Analysis and Capability Integration; Collaborative Science and Technology; Intelligence Analysis and Software Engineering; and Logistics Lifecycle Analysis. It is comprised of approximately 300 employees that are working worldwide in both Battelle-owned and client facilities. The VP and GM is responsible for profit/loss from strategic planning, through business development, technical program execution, and close out. Clients are mostly National Security and include all Defense Services, Intelligence Agencies, FDA, and the FAA. The Applied Technology Business also manages key Battelle locations - Crystal City, VA; Dayton, OH; San Diego, CA; and Natick, MA.

Manage Technical and Analytical Support Operations, one of three Battelle National Security operational organizations. This consisted of four Product Lines specializing in professional services offerings. Grew the National Security services business area from one product line of 400 staff to four product lines with almost 1000 employees worldwide. Included responsibility for 12 Battelle leased office locations. Product lines included, Scientific and Technical Support; Medical Readiness and Response; Intelligence Analysis; and Regional Operations.

Selected for relocation to Battelle headquarters for developmental assignment. One year as Deputy for Navy Market Sector with reporting responsibility for all business development staff nationwide for growth across product lines. Second year as Deputy to the National Security Operations Manager who was responsible for the oversight of all product lines and leased locations. Worked extensively with legal, contracts, finance, IT, and human resources support organizations to assure efficient implementation of all strategic initiatives.

Developed Battelle Natick Operations. Grew this new Battelle office location from a position of financial peril to a robust business of over 30 research and development staff supporting programs at Natick Labs and expanded client base to include textile and protective clothing and equipment programs across all services to include Pax River, Quantico, and WPAFB locations.

Managed advanced materials and protective clothing and equipment research and development. Lead Program Manager for Marine Corps Programs and Chemical Protective Clothing and Equipment Programs. Excelled in inter-government business development, bringing in many newly funded programs from other agencies into NCTRF.
