As part of the Chicago Roadmap partnership, my objective is to provide diverse learners in Chicago Public Schools with enhanced transitional support to and through the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) to equitably increase student outcomes in college readiness, college enrollment, college persistence, college degree attainment, and employment. Here's a glimpse of what that entails...CPS Communication & Collaboration - Developing and implementing communication channels between CPS/CCC to ensure that information on programs and services available to diverse learners during and after high school is accessible districtwideProgramming - Transition 3950: Facilitating CPS students with intellectual disabilities access to dual enrollment opportunities at CCC through House Bill 3950 - Success Coaching: Providing individual or group coaching sessions in developing soft skills during a new student's first semester at CCCEvents - ODLSS Transition Fair: Co-planning and hosting the annual Transition Fair in partnership with ODLSS, the Chicago Roadmap, and CCC, among other postsecondary-focused events - ACCESS Orientation: Organizing new student orientation sessions for students with disabilities starting courses at CCC this Summer or Fall
