As a member of the Board and management team, the roll can be very varied, with no day being the same, with new issues and opportunities to find solutions. I like to be out on the road with our Sales Team, visiting new industrial sites, learning about new manufacturing process and the Corrosion and engineering challenges within those businesses. Going into places some people would never see, such as under and through the Thames Barrier or the cooling water pipe in a Nuclear PowerStation. Corrocoat has been providing cost effective anti corrosion methods, materials and engineering rehabilitation expertise for over 30 years and enjoys a proven track record in solving corrosion-related problems throughout industry, operating across five continents from more than thirty locations worldwide.With specific responsibility to oversee Corrocoat’s busy Site Projects team, during busy periods there is the opportunity to assist with Site Visits, project paper work, logistics, procurement and planning, ensuring projects are carried out to the required safety and quality standards.Assisting with Technical enquires, specifications, tenders and sales proposals both for the UK and overseas.Overseeing Corrocoat’s Western Europe, USA, and Malaysian operations involves a number of overseas visits each year, with jet lag becoming an occupational hazard, it is always good to visit new places, but the industrial complexes can be very similar.Attending R & D meetings from time to time allows me to expand my knowledge of polymer chemistry and coating formulations, and keep on top of future developments.

Project Managed Corrocoat Site operations, from initial assessment, site visits, specification, Sales Proposal review, Risk assessments, Method Statements, Project Plans, Quality Plans and Safety. Procurement and logistics for men and equipment. Ensuring all projects are completed safely to the customer’s satisfaction, within budget, to plan and to the highest quality Standards. Attending project meetings and reporting progress, and on-site management, and final QA inspections where required.

Managed all aspects of the small but growing business, Operations, Sales, Project Management, Safety and Quality. Extensive travel throughout Malaysia visiting industrial facilities, Power Stations, Chemical manufacturing, refineries, supply bases, ship yards, Palm Oil production, Paper manufacturing, water transmission as well as the offices of large multinational companies in Kuala Lumpur. Presented a paper for a Permanent Way Institution Tea Talk event.
