About Philly Markowitz

I have dedicated my career to promoting and supporting the good things in life: food, music, art, education and recreation.I am the Local Food Economic Development Officer for Grey County. I offer business support, education, networking and marketing opportunities for area farms, food processors, farm markets, retailers and restaurants. I'm assisting with the creation of a food hub in Grey County and I also assist with food-related curriculum development and culinary tourism development. I am also overseeing system development, content creation and digital asset management for Grey County Tourism's new website.I worked as a content provider for various media outlets for over 20 years, including 17 years with CBC Radio. I've also engaged my communications, research and project management skills in the not-for-profit sector, working in public relations, community outreach and fundraising capacities.
