As a member of a small frontend team, I shipped self directed features using React hooks, provider components all backed by Apollo GQL. This involved implementing Figma designs and communicating with designers of possible short comings. This process often ended up creating shorter deliverable iterations. As a principle feature lead, it was my responsibility to gather any backend resource requirements as our backend team was stretched thin. Noticing this gap, I refreshed my previous experience with Elixir and took responsibility for automated emails. I also was a rotating engineer on call to help assist with site issues as they were reported by support.

Prism offers content management and printing services to multi-site corporations specializing in senior living communities that need more than simple predefined templates for newsletters, calendars, and flyers. Site managers submit content through a Rails site where it is proofed, formatted, then printed, and shipped all from the Prism office. Maintained the production Rails 2.x site: respond to customer service requests; develop and deploy quick bug fixes; generate Excel reports using comprehensive SQL statements from the server console; investigate server logs to verify customer testimonials; develop features to increase the production team's efficiency. Examples of these features: an auto proofing algorithm to store and apply similar content marking segments as proofed; a temporal graph to display content submission versus deadline using an AJAX based JavaScript graphing utility; re-factored form validations ensuring data quality; a staging server to allow our production team to test features before they go live. Co-Designed and developed the next generation Rails 4 site focusing on a service oriented design backed by lightweight Sinatra APIs. The new iteration focused on decoupled content containers using nested polymorphic relations. Implemented a global error handler to send validations to JQueryUI based dialogues, added rotations to image uploads, and created rule based forms utilizing virtual models to capture fields for dynamic validation. Managed work flow with Pivital Tracker and deployed Git commits with Capistrano to Amazon EC2

Teliax offers wholesale VoIP services internationally using custom least cost analysis software. Co-designed and initial development of a white label VoIP telephony Rails application: created UML diagrams for model relationships, stubbed out PostgreSQL models, created UI mockups based on application design document, implemented UI elements upon mockup aproval. Worked with graphic designer to apply CSS and Javascript in HAML.Attended daily scrum meetings to discuss current targets, roadblocks, and future endeavorers. Managed work flow with JIRA and deployed Git commits with Chef.

BHW is host to many PHP based services including email marketing, event promotion, social music networking, business directories, and SEO optimization. Designed and created a centralized multimedia player which could be used by any of the company's sites written in ActionScript 3. This player gathered data via AMF to dynamically create a montage with music and play videos based on media attached to an email or event. Designed and created an exportable calendar with AMF backed event data that loaded the multimedia player from its compiled SWF to launch music and videos from listed event views. Built a universal styling application to apply skins to these RIAs.Designed and created a voice recording Flash application using Red5 media server to create exportable infomercials with independent voice and music volume control. The player was also able to scrub back and forth in time re-triggering image animations. Designed and created a banner maker application to create header images for use in email campaigns. Images were imported from user's library or personal computer then manipulated by dragging resize and rotation handlers. Text could be added in many fonts and also rotated and resized accordingly. Image regions out of the banner bounds were masked in gray when selected and hidden when inactive. Attended weekly agile scrum meetings to assign values to stories and keep feature creep to a minimum. Managed work flow with Redmine and deployed SVN commits with custom PHP deploy hooks.

eGlobal Designs specialized in building sites for the resort and hotel industry before declaring bankruptcy. Created the next iteration of their custom PHP based CMS using Ruby on Rails. Developed MVC components for account management, page containers and photo uploads. The project was cut due to lack of fundings though the basics of the CMS were completed. Reassigned to cutting Photoshop documents into div based layouts developing all CSS. Solved occurring problems with the existing PHP site.
