As a project manager at New Energy Coalition I am involved in large interdisciplinary innovation projects that focus on the development of best practices that contribute to sustainable, reliable, and affordable (local) energy systems. I was involved for over 2 years in the H2020 SMILE project where I coordinating the Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation activities. Besides SMILE I am also involved in the H2020 MAKING-CITY project where I am active in developing exploitable business cases to stimulate renewable energy production in urban environments. Both SMILE and MAKING-CITY are funded through the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation programme. Besides project management I am also highly involved in developing new Research & Innovation projects that often involve Public Authorities, SME's, Industries, and Knowledge Institutes.

Tijdens mijn afstudeeronderzoek bij de afdeling Inkoop van het UMCG heb ik de gebruikskwaliteit van het proces voor het meten van lichaamstemperatuur onderzocht. Een specifiek onderdeel hiervan was het evalueren van de Exergen Temporal Scanner TAT 5000, een voorhoofdthermometer die de kerntemperatuur meet met behulp van infraroodstraling.
