Reporting to an SVP I led the Technology team deliverables for a number of Booking Platforms. This included People Management, Technology roadmap, budget planning and accountability, Agile Transformation and Process improvements. I work very closely with the other Business stakeholders to ensure we're delivering value to the customer. I am a Certified Scaled Agile Consultant and while in Travelport I restructured my Technology team from multiple centres to a single centre of excellence. I also led the implementation of SAFe in my Group and worked closely with Product, Architecture, QA and Security stakeholders to ensure my roadmap and commitments were aligned with the Corporate initiatives.

I was responsible for leading the Engineering team in the Fenergo Research & Development group. My main focus was on scaling the R&D Engineering team and ensuring they were enabled and empowered with the right skills, processes and tooling so they can collaborate effectively with other Fenergo groups to achieve Company objectives. I reported to the VP of Software Development

I was tasked with taking a green field API POC through to an elastically scalable, 24/7, multi end point service over an intensive 18 month delivery period. Starting in Feb 2015 I led the build up of the API development group from 1 to 5 scrums to achieve the required strategic corporate deliveries. Throughout this period I made it my priority to ensure my group were well supported in terms of tools, training, resourcing and as much roadmap clarity as possible. I did this by working closely across Product and Tech stakeholders to gain their confidence and support. This contributed to the formation of a highly collaborative and resilient API development group that has consistently achieved their Product Roadmap.

Program Manager and Software Development Manager for a Pilot Mobile Payments Solution. I led the Design, Development and roll out of the Products to China and India.

I managed a Java Development Group comprising 7 separate development teams. This group comprised:7 Tech Leads8 on site and 35 offshore Senior Java DevelopersI was responsible for managing the Java Development teams working on the design and development of 4 new eLearning Applications along with the Production Support of our existing 15 applications. I was responsible for all aspects of my groups performance and their personal development and training. My offshore team were supplied via a vendor relationship which I managed to metrics I designed and agreed with the teams. I reported to the Director Of Software Development on all aspects of this teams performance and I was heavily involved in scoping out new projects. I also had input into the strategy for Software Development within HMH and was responsible for making significant changes within my group to improve our delivery and cost overheads to ensure we maintained the correct mix of onsite versus offshore resourcing.

I managed 3 Dublin based Lead Engineers. Each of these Tech Leads manages an offshore Development Team of their own to develop and support a wide range of Web Apps. I was also Lead Engineer on two High Volume 24/7 Web Apps. As pert of this role I manage an offshore Team of 13 offshore resources comprising 1 PM, 1 Architect, 2 Tech Leads & 9 Developers) to Support existing functionality and deliver new functionality on time and within budget.

Worked a a Senior Java Developer on a number of feasibility projects integrating a work flow engine (jBPM) and a Content repository system into a new system for Meridian under the direction of a Senior Archtect in Meridian.

Responsible for Project Management of a number of in house high risk integration Projects in the Financial Services area.

I developed a number of Java based Web Apps used in Trade Services and Fund Administration users within the bank and also for external users.
