My current role has involved being embedded within the client site at ANZ Corporate Centre and has involved the following role responsibilities: • Part of the successful onsite project team, implementing Fermat - Credit Risk Basel II calculation engine from the initial project phase through to the implementation and support of the monthly ‘business-as-usual’ (bau) process.• Promoted to Project Manager/ Release Delivery Manager for quarterly release cycles which involved managing a team of onsite consultants and liaising with a team of offshore developers (in Singapore and Shenzhen, China). • Onsite user training sessions in Bangalore, India; Wellington, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia.• Analysis of business needs to develop functional and non-functional specifications for the credit risk process (ETL, Adjustments, Calculcations, Reporting).

During this period of time at IMX Software my role involved a great deal of flexibility and travelling to cover my responsibilities as a Senior Consultant. I spent nearly a year in the UK throughout this period to help cover the following role responsibilities: • Gathering requirements for new implementations of our Wholesale and Retail Currency System in small to large sized Financial Institutions, such as; HSBC, American Express (UK and AU), Royal Bank of Scotland, First Rate Exchange Services, M&S Money (UK), Midlands Co-op UK, Standard Bank (Sth. Africa) and Bahrain Financing Company. • Educating clients through product pre sales presentations and onsite user training sessions.• Analysis of business needs to develop functional and non-functional specifications. • Research and identify the potential risks and issues associated to project timelines. • Research and understand third party technologies to assist the integration process with our own wholesale system. • Assist in the application roadmap design and architecture for the transformation of the system onto the .NET platform.

My time spent in the IMX Head Office during the period of March 2004 - May 2006 was a pure development role working on a software application called Travel Money Online for Tier 1 Financial Institutions such as American Express, First Rate Exchange Services, ANZ Bank and Commerz Bank Germany. This role incorporated responsibilities such as:• Back-end development to the application, using technologies such as Visual Basic 6 for COM+ packages, PL/SQL programming for Stored Procedures in the SQL Server database and database administration. • Front-end development of the TMO application using technologies such as ASP, HTML, XML, ASP. NET, Visual C++, advanced JavaScript and graphic design software such as Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. • End user documentation and training for new developments made to the application. A secondment to the Brighton, UK office throughout the period of May 2006 - Nov 2007 broadened my responsibilities to include• Direct Account Manager and Client Liaison Officer for Tier 1 Financial Institutions such as; FirstRate Exchange Services and HSBC (during an initial software rollout for over 1,000 branches)• First Line Support to all our clients, which include HSBC, American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland, FirstRate Exchange Services, Travelex and a number of smaller financial institutions. • 24hr after hours support for Severity 1 issues to high profile customers. • Business Analysis and Pre-Sales work for new clients including presentations to new perspective clients. • Requirements Gathering for new Financial Institutions.• Client Relationship Management with the above mentioned Tier 1 Financial Institutions.• Prioritisation of issues and escalating these where necessary.

Originally began this role as part of a one year Industry Based Learning (IBL) placement through my IT degree at Swinburne University. However, I was asked to continue working full-time whilst completing my degree part time. My main responsibilities included;• Back-end development, using technologies such as Visual Basic 6, PL/SQL programming, Microsoft Visio and Crystal Reports. • Front-end development using technologies such as ASP, HTML, XML, JavaScript. • Graphic design work using programs such as Photoshop and PSP.• Documenting Test Cases Scripts thus improving the efficiency of the Testing Process. • The creation of end user documentation.
