My professional experience has been with manufactures of products used in construction, OEM, commercial, construction, EV charging and industrial MRO markets. My experience over this time was focused on building successful relationships with distributors, contractors, consulting engineers in both electrical and mechanical disciplines who specify products into new construction and into municipal and government agencies.Selling and driving specifications has been my primary objective. To accomplish this basic goal, I worked closely with our distributors to educate them on product and facilitate the relationship between the distributor and resources at specific manufactures. Beyond that, I made joint sales calls with the outside sales personnel and assisted in developing solid relationships with their customer, our end users. What is not obvious is the indirect management responsibilities to coordinate and promote the sales activities of over 100 people that I did not directly supervise. It was very common for me to act as a mentor, expert and a resource to people in order to raise the level of brand awareness and brand (and personal) loyalty.Management and sales success that included raising the presence of product at local distribution from near last place to number one core electrical product, high single to double digit sales increase each year and three national number one sales awards.
