Salamander Rentals ceased trading in 2014 and i regret not being to realise the potential in the solutions that were being developed.

As well as being asked by some brands to represent them at some events, the drive to try and solve a problem associated with exhibiting at these events led to the set up of Sterling Daisy Limited.Sterling Daisy allowed us to separate event activity with Sat Nav Warehouse from events managed and attended on behalf of others. The primary focus however, was to try and improve the mechanism for businesses wanting to accept card payments on their stand at an event or exhibition;The problem: Obtaining a temporary merchant ID and additional card processing terminal for use at an event or exhibition is a lengthy and costly exercise. The form filling is arduous and turnaround slow with hire rates much higher than you would expect - sometimes seven to eight times what you would expect to pay on a normal monthly rental, for just three days hire. The solution: To offer a solution that allows exhibitors to apply online with minimal form filling and no cost for hiring the terminal. The result: The trial event was the Gadget Show Live in 2012 where out of 300 exhibitors, Sterling Daisy supplied terminals to 30 exhibitors. It became apparent that the long term success of this solution required either accreditation with various bodies within the financial services sector, or to partner with a business who already had accreditation. This encouraged the partnership with Salamander Rentals, an accredited supplier of card processing services later in 2012.
