Current• Lead the formation of UK and international business partnerships with key stakeholders (Welsh Government, ERDF, TWI and Industry) in ‘Advanced Engineering Materials Research Institute’. (£20 million pound project)• Architect of AEMRI concept who identified, negotiated and secured ERDF – WEFO funding to Build and lead a world-class research group to deliver AEMRI’s strategic research priorities. • Lead and direct AEMRI Operations Management team.• Secure external research funding and work effectively with external sponsors at a senior level.• Represent the centre at business forums at national and international levels.• Responsible for TWI NDT Technology Centre (Wales) worth £3million/annum with 30 staff • Responsible for operations, technology development, engineering services and business development on a global basis with the responsibility for all P&L items.• Responsible for developing, supporting and enhancing global business process across TWI Engineering groups.• Continuously perform market and competitors analyses, operational performance improvement, risk and change management.• Responsible for developing and rebranding of TWI products and software with new marketing strategy and commercialisation plan.
