I am a 3d and visual effects artist working across multiple mediums and disciplines. Over 15 years of commercial experience in tv, film, branding & corporate. An educational Maya & Bifrost content creator often sponsored by Autodesk.

I started working within BBC News as a freelancer. I was brought in to help transition realtime 3d graphics viz rt into the department. I ended up both designing and creating many aspects of the 2007 BBC News triple channel rebrand including News title sequences, stings and information graphics. My contract was renewed 3 times after which I was offered a full time position to join and help build upon the knowledge and ability of the 3d department. Whilst in working within the 3d department I created titles sequences for many programs across both BBC News and BBC World News. Some of these title sequences included BBC Breakfast titles, Talking Movies, Sport Today, BBC News, World News Today and many more. I have also created animated 3d and vfx for News content including various projects with news correspondent David Shukman. I had the opportunity to work on 3D animation for the World trade Center 7 conspiracy files documentary for BBC 2 .There were often extremely difficult 'live' news deadlines to meet and each member of that team needed to be extremely efficient, focused and professional in meeting those deadlines. This would on many occasions mean immediately dropping a longer term project to cover a live event as it unfolded - creating 3d content whilst working closely with directors, producers and designers to help tell a story, sometimes in under an hour. This was probably the most high pressure environment a 3d artist could work in.

Employed as Maya artist to work on BBC Sport re brand for the 2005 World Cup.Worked closely with designers and art directors to produce 3d elements for stings pnumonics, titles and information graphics.

This position was to create low ploygon 3d models in maya for use in game.Breifs where given in the form of building specific spread sheets which included polygon limits, texture limits and time scale limtations.Buildings needed to be modelled 3 times for L.O.D placement and then textured by the same artist.

Employed as a 3d artist to set up shots with characters and props Using Maya.To pose and light characters for individual strip moods.All work was story boarded from the original Striker artist Pete Nash and then converted in 3d.
