Senior Research AssociateInstitute for Intergovernmental ResearchPhil Ramer is a Senior Research Associate in the Information Sharing Projects Group. He participates in the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative's Intelligence Working Group, the National Data Exchange product development council, the National Suspicious Activity Report Initiative (NSI) and the development of the National Criminal Intelligence Resource Center.Mr. Ramer is an experienced law enforcement officer having served more than 30 years with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) before retiring in September, 2004. As an FDLE Special Agent in Charge (SAC), he had responsibility for all centralized intelligence operations for the Department, management of the Florida Computer Crime Center, the Florida Financial Crimes Analysis Center and the Florida Domestic Security and Anti-Terrorism Intelligence Center. Prior to this position, he was assigned as the SAC for the Tampa Bay Region, covering 18 counties in Southwest Florida. He was named FDLE's Supervisor of the Year in 1986.
