I'm the founder of PLR Advisory a financial management and consultancy services business supporting the education sector across the South East.

I am responsible for the trust's past and present financial situation, and am an integral part of the trust's management and financial future. My duties range from financial reporting to deciding where and when to allocate and spend public monies to generate the best possible educational outcomes for all children in the trust's schools.

After developing Kreston Reeves' academy sector offering since 2012, I was provided the title "deputy head of academies" to reflect my contribution and status within the sector. In addition, following the FRC ethical rule changes regarding audit firms offering both external and internal audit services (no longer allowed), I was instrumental in increasing Kreston Reeves' number of internal audit clients and service offering. This involved pitching for new work, establishing relationships with other local firms to "swap" clients and developing the firm's service offer structure - templates for reports, pricing, sampling and work programmes. I also advised many clients on their risk appetite structures and presented findings at trust meetings.

I continued to manage a portfolio of client relationships and expectations across many sectors including manufacturing, academies, not-for-profit and other corporate entities. I was seen as one of the experts in academies and education for the firm and was always there to help my clients and any prospective ones. My focus was (and remains) on helping school business managers and governors ride the storm in the education sector currently as best they can.I was also a people manager for staff in the firm, helping them with their development as well as being a sounding board for issues or problems they have.Since early 2019 I also helped to introduce wellbeing into the firm. This was an ongoing project and something the firm are continuing to build upon.From 2020 onwards, I also acted as student counsellor to the new ICAEW trainees. This involved helping them understand the ethics modules and reviewing their training files.

After 5 years as Supervisor, I took on the role of developing and nurturing the academies department in Kreston Reeves as this sector grew and changed the dynamics of schools across the country. My role now is to manage a portfolio of client relationships and expectations across many sectors including academies, not-for-profit, trade associations and other corporate entities. I pride myself on being the resource school business managers, bursars and governors refer to for the academy sector.

After gaining the ACCA qualification, I have continued to progress within the Corporate sector at Reeves to Supervisor. My main role is lead teams on various audit assignments whilst ensuring the audit is completed with as little stress for the client as possible within the time frame they expect. I have developed a good working knowledge of various industries ranging from secondary schools, light engineers, electronics distributors and hauliers to name but a few.

Following becoming AAT qualified I stayed with the firm and was offered sponsorship towards becoming ACCA qualified and this was achieved in 2008. During this time I progressed from a junior role in the firm to a controller.

Joined the company as a Trainee straight from School and was provided with AAT sponsorship. This qualification was achieved in 2003.

A voluntary role to assist in the running of the Club's finances. Real 60 FC are one of the oldest clubs in Kent, having been formed in 1960. Teams range from the age of under 8s to Men. I undertook this role in my free time. I also arranged the club's annual presentation night.
