With over 34 years of experience in the banking industry, I was previously a seasoned and reliable credit bureau manager at Ulster Bank, one of the leading retail banks in Ireland and the UK. My core competencies include risk management, data quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. I am passionate about delivering accurate and timely credit data submissions to various credit bureaux, supporting the bank's reputation and performance. I value collaboration, innovation, and customer satisfaction, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.In my most recent role, I managed the Central Credit Register Team, which is responsible for submitting credit data to the Central Bank of Ireland on a monthly basis. I oversaw the data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and reporting processes, ensuring that the data met the required quality and regulatory standards. I also liaised with the IT, business, and risk teams, as well as external vendors, to resolve any issues or queries related to the data submissions. Additionally, I monitored and analysed the credit data trends, identified and implemented improvement opportunities, and provided training and guidance to the team members. Some of the skills that I used and developed in this role are banking, credit, data management, problem-solving, communication, and leadership. I worked with large data sets using excel to identify any potential issues. This role and previous roles have required engagement with other banks, customers, other bank teams and regulators. Prior to my role managing bureau inputs, I managed the credit card portfolio for Ulster Bank.I also worked as part of the Retail Credit Project team as an SME in projects delivering Faster Payments, online credit applications and also Project Managed the delivery of changes to the cheque payment cycle for Ulster Bank. Due to my extensive knowledge of bank systems and processes I am an SME in many fields which has lead to my representing the bank in court as a specialist witness.Having left Ulster Bank after over 34 years, I am now available for new opportunities and challenges.
