I worked full time in this role for 12 years and am now semi-retired. I managed the marketing rollout of our first 21st century college and career planning system and subsequent versions as well. I handled all marketing activities including creating ads, collateral literature, sales presentation tools, and marketing and product videos. I wrote proposals, including the one which won the company an exclusive contract to serve California public schools. I made sales presentations and did most customer training and support for the first several years.

Roybal Associates does training and consulting in the areas of trade show marketing and presentation skills, for middle and upper-level managers, through The Hill Group in San Jose. I have done training for clients from New York to South Africa. I've trained execs, presenters, and sales staff at HP, Microsoft, Intel, Adobe, Cadence, Epson, and many others, and developed the Remarkable Presenter training program for The Hill Group.I developed and taught Managing Trade Shows for Your Organization for San Jose State University's Professional Development Center.As a separate enterprise, I currently develop and teach woodworking classes both privately and at The Sawdust Shop in Sunnyvale, CA.

Moved to Paris in 1983 to manage European New Product Marketing's introduction of the Macintosh. Returned to the US in 1984 to manage US field sales training, then leadership training for Apple University.• Building and executing product marketing programs, trade show efforts, and customer relations programs.• Developing, delivering, and teaching others to deliver passionate presentations about Apple products.• Managing the training of salespeople in product sales techniques, and development of leadership training for managers.

Managed groups responsible for marketing several early microprocessor systems. Developed and executed marketing operations for the Microprocessor Group. Patented a technique for telecommunications data compression.

Sold minicomputer systems in the San Francisco Bay Area for two years, then moved inside to manage Applications Marketing in support of sales.
