SUMMARYMy role is responsible for the mission and spirit of Christ in the City, especially regarding the missionaries' formation program. This specifically requires overseeing the work of the formators and their accompaniment of the missionaries. More generally, the role seeks to create and constantly renew Christ in the City's culture, within the staff and missionaries, in accordance with the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.KEY CONTRIBUTIONS• Renew procedures and protocols that emphasize the missionaries' responsibility and autonomy for their formation process.• Instigate and oversee an evaluation evaluating correlations between the missionaries' growth and various elements of our program.• Report significant correlations between the missionary growth and key elements of Christ in the City's formation program.

The program integrated theological, philosophical, and psychological insights to provided the participants content for their personal development, which would facilitate the effective accompaniment of Christ in the City missionaries.

SUMMARYI trained and directed missionaries in their outreach to the chronically homeless. The goal of this outreach is befriend the chronically homeless and help them to reconcile the relationships in their lives.• Plan and execute initial and ongoing training for +20 missionaries.• Accompany and advise the missionaries in street ministry during training by rotating between all the teams.• Coordinate the missionaries' daily schedules in relation to street ministry.• Meet weekly with missionary teams to strategize the rehabilitation of active relationships with the chronically homeless.• Oversee coordination, donations and permits for feeding +250 homeless a week.• Respond to difficulties that missionaries encounter on the streets and provide direct intervention as necessary.KEY CONTRIBUTIONS• Reevaluated and developed success indicators and methodology for outreach to the chronically homeless based on a hermeneutic of human dignity, relationship, and reconciliation.• Developed a common language, culture, and programs for communicating the mission.• Collaborated with outside programs and experts to standardize an approach to addiction based on an integral understanding of the human person, scientific research, and categories from the 12 steps.• Collaborated with outside programs and experts to standardize an approach to mental illness.• Created handbook summarizing the success indicators and methodology for missionary outreach to the chronically homeless.• Expanded possibilities for volunteering at weekly Lunch in the Park by providing additional opportunities for training and developing protocol for guiding minors in encountering the poor.• Expanded network of contacts with outside agencies to collaborate in rehabilitating the chronically homeless.

I collaborated with fellow formators to preserve the mission and spirit of CIC in all its activities, programs, and services. This meant overseeing the integral well-being of the missionaries, including their spiritual life, human formation, community life, intellectual formation, and apostolic projection with people in need, volunteers, and the greater community. My primary task was to be available to the missionaries and by offering accompaniment, resources, and opportunities for their daily Christian lives.

SUMMARYI taught two courses during my time living in this region: Theological Anthropology and Treatises on Grace. My community sent me to serve in the U.S.A. before I was able to complete the latter class, which led me to hand it over to another professor. These classes were formulated in dialogue with Bishop Kay Martin Schmalhausen Panizo with the purpose of making the content pastorally applicable.
