I am engaged as a Cloud Migration, Application, Infrastructure and Integration Architect on a number of projects. I currently work in Public Sector, but have extensive experience in Financial Services. I have also worked in Telecommunications and Media. I managed a team of up to 15 architects and became the lead account architect, responsible for the technical elements of all programmes, including systems rationalisation, applications rationalisation, enterprise and data centre migrations for a financial services organisation.

On subsequent phases, I was the lead architect with two architects reporting to me and a team size of approximately 20 people. I was responsible for deployment of the Enterprise Service Bus.I was responsible negotiating with third parties and other stakeholders to create a set of policies and procedures for ESB use within the organisation. I lead a team to identify and implement a change on the post completions mortgage system that brought down the overnight processing by 30% through increased performance rather than reduced functionality. Additionally, I have lead another team to work towards bringing this time down by another 30%. By extending the life of the existing system this saved the customer millions of pounds in charges. I was engaged as the development lead and application architect as part of a large programme of work to transform a large UK mobile phone operator. I produced detailed specifications for integration and configuration. I worked directly with the supplier in Sweden to agree interface transformations from their package to the customer’s systems.

I performed a technical project management role to move services from one set of data centre networks to another without loss of service to the business. I was involved in all stages of the project from requirements gathering to post implementation support.

I was the application architect and lead developer for a bespoke IT asset management system. Originally the project was to be only tactical, however due to the success of implementation, reliability and meeting the customer’s needs it was reclassified as the strategic asset management system.

I travelled throughout the UK and was responsible on a national basis for organising resources, capturing business requirements, validation and subsequent technical approval prior to business approval from the business sponsor and negotiation with the supplier prior to financial considerations.
