I work to help students refine their communication skills so they can share their unique stories and ideas with the world. My teaching emphasizes the importance of vulnerability, transparency, creativity, and self-reflection, both in my own practice and in the work produced by my students.I am dedicated to exploring the principles of democracy and identity in my teaching. I strive to create an environment where difficult dialogues can occur, empowering students to engage in deliberation that honors diverse perspectives. In today’s complex world, I believe that fostering constructive conversations is essential for building understanding and collaboration.On a personal note, I love fitness and have successfully lost over 130 pounds. As a certified group fitness instructor through Les Mills, I am committed to creating body-positive, accommodating, and inclusive environments that invite everyone to experience the transformative power of movement.
