I am a graduate of ECPI University with an undergraduate degree in Computer & Information Science with a concentration in Network Security. I have ambitions to work with networking and security. I also have an interest with virtualization technologies.College has taught me more that I could ever imagine as well as the importance of certifications. I feel that certifications and degrees shows your knowledge and your willingness to learn to those that do not know you. The best advice that I learned is that (entry) certifications can set you up for an interview, but it is up to you to show your knowledge from what you learned. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:Hardware: Cisco installation of 1700, 1800, 2500, 2600, and 3600 series routers, Catalyst 1900, 2900 series, Layer 3, multilayer switches- 3750 and 3560, ASA firewall 5505, and UTP wiring installations. Software: Cisco IOS (10.0 and up through 12.4), EXSi 5.0, Microsoft Windows 2000/XP, Windows 7, Wireshark, Microsoft Office Suite, and some Linux OS fundamentals. Switch Configuration (CLI): Spanning Tree Protocol, switching methods, duplex and speed options, CDP, password recovery, Network Management (including NAT, PAT, DHCP, & port security), VLANS, WLANS, VTP, VOIP, ISL, and 802.1Q. Router Configuration (CLI): TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, CDP, HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay, RIP v1 & 2, EIGRP, OSPF, route summarization, route distribution, policy-based routing, IP helper address, VLSM, and CIDR. Network Security: Standard, extended, and reflexive access lists, NAT, AAA, 802.1x, stateless, stateful, packet filtering firewalls.I find that having tenancy and the willingness to learn a nice quality for a person to have. One of the aspects that I am trying to work on more are my troubleshooting skills. I am trying my best to the most experience I can in the IT field and then specialize from there. Currently working on CCNA: Data Center, CCNP: Routing & Switching, & CISSP certifications.

Junior Network & System AdministratorGlobal Knowledge Training Oct 2014 - Jun 2018Morrisville, NcI am part of the support and delivery team of various IT systems that are accessed remotely around the world for Global Knowledge training courses. I ensure that all networks and systems are functional, secure, and running at acceptable performance levels. I achieve this by assisting the support and delivery team in maintaining labs of over 7,000 network devices, servers, and other components through which these products are developed and delivered. This is accomplished by analyzing, testing, and evaluating the network and server systems to eliminate problems. My job also involves performing network and system administrative procedures as well as maintaining documentation comprising of data control, applications training, setup process steps, data coordination, and scheduling. All of this guarantees that all networks and systems are functional and secure and running at acceptable performance levels. Besides networking, our team also performs system administration to detect, diagnose, analyze, and resolve customer problems associated with systems of network and server hardware and application software. This involves evaluating and installing systems, new software releases, patches, system upgrades, and resolving software related problems for Unix, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems. Due to the virtual nature of what we run, we use VMware vSphere, ESXi server, and some Citrix for administration and troubleshooting. Global Knowledge offers a variety of IT certification programs that includes Cisco, Microsoft, Webmaster, networking, and more. So our support and delivery team also prepares, validates, and delivers scheduled customer remote labs for all ILT (instructor lead teaching), VCeL (virtual classroom e-learning), and SPeL (self-paced e-learning) for courses. Furthermore, our support and delivery team performs testing on new courses based on the specifications from project management. -
