My secondment into this position was to bring real-world experiences from my former position of Station Engineer of the Lower Tumut Region of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority to the theorized department of Human Resources. My prime objective was to improve efficiencies in all areas of operations and man management.My position required me to be on-call 24/7 to resolve all matters relating to plant failure. My logic, speed of assessment and plant knowledge were called on numerous times. I displayed quick accurate assessment of situations and guided staff to undertake the necessary action for plant security and reliability for the benefit of the company and the consumer.The safety of staff and operating plant were of utmost importance at all times.
