Developed energy models that are able to estimate the energy saving potential of cities. Results contributed to strategy analyses for city councils and enhanced business models for start-up companies. Developed a GIS model that can accurately identify all suitable roof areas in a city for deploying solar PV systems. Results include potential PV installation capacity, power generation, and are incorporated into business models to automatically assess the economic feasibility under different scenarios. Currently working as lead researcher in a UK-China low carbon cities project with case study on Portsmouth and Xi'an, China. Oversee the development and installation of over 100 energy monitors abroad. Experienced in energy monitor development and installation. Monitored energy consumption from over 200 homes in Southampton. Managing an engineering project to install solar PV carports in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Designed and tested a novel self-cleaning system. Responsible for budget management, quality control, procurement, and international shipping. Continuously supporting Southampton and Portsmouth City Council in energy efficiency analysis and development of energy strategies, including 1) assessment of CHP systems, 2) regeneration strategy analysis, 3) building refurbishment analysis, 4) expansion of district energy networks, and 5) thermal comfort of social housing.
