Inspecting the work area before and after each shift for the potential release of flammable liquids or vapours. Patrolling areas where the work is being performed. Having Fire extinguishing equipment readily available and being well trained in it's use. understanding the direction where sparks and open flames will blow. Have an understanding of safety procedure and how to implement them. Attending safety meeting when required. Maintain constant means of communication. Prepare to operate fire extinguisher, water hydrant and hoses as stated in the safety permit. Keep any record of any risks and solutions. Contacting and informing emergency personnel as soon as any issues arise. Clean up and litter and other waste when spotted on the ground.
