Started up this new AV company with my son, David

Since 2012, I have been providing videography and photography at conferences and events across the UK and Europe. This includes videos and photos for event promotion, social media and training, together with filming interviews, talks, panel discussions and sponsor demos.

Since 2004, I have been working throughout the UK and in Europe running sound and visuals for conferences and events. This includes the set up of sets, staging and AV systems (mics, speakers, screens, projectors, lighting etc.) and running the AV throughout.

I set up the Hall Music Studio in 1994 for instrument teaching. In addition to this, I also play in a number of tribute and function bands, mainly on keys.Since 1994, I have offered:• Piano tuition, all ages, from beginner to advanced• Guitar tuition, all ages, from beginner to intermediate• Music theory tuition to grade 8• GCSE music tuition• A-Level music tuition• General musicianship

• Trouble-shooting customer issues in Germany, Spain and UK• Trouble-shooting supplier issues• Demonstrating products to end-users (e.g. SWT, First Great Eastern)• Managing Logistics of goods both in and out of our premises• Organising and manning stands at transport exhibitions• Booking all flights, hotels and hire cars• Overseeing all in-house IT

• Planning, budgeting and purchasing all accommodation, educational premises and activities (c.£250K annual budget)• Working closely with Sales Director and Director of Education to ensure all courses were provided most efficiently, economically and with the best value for our clients• Organising everything the students did from arrival to departure• Liaising with suppliers (esp. coach companies and tourist destinations)• Heading up department of up to twenty five staff based in the office and throughout theUK• Overseeing all IT issues (including implementing backup system and internet)• Constantly working to ensure all processes were as efficient and up-to-date as possible• Working closely with Sales manager and Director of Education to ensure our productswere supplied at the right time, in the right way, with the right suppliers for the right price
