As a member of the Nuclear Physics Group of STFC Daresbury I have the opportunity to pursue my scientific interests and participate in a variety of international research collaborations.

• Lead scientist for the MARA-LEB facility: in-charge of the financial and time management, and the design, simulations and construction of the facility.• Co-I for STFC PPRP capital grant.• Responsible for the upgrade of the GREAT spectrometer and the purchase of relevant equipment.• Member of the ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer project, providing support during set-up and testing of electronics at HIE-ISOLDE and Liverpool.• Member of the ISOLDE Decay Station project. Liaison between the collaboration and the electronics engineers.• Student supervision.

• Lead scientist for the MARA-LEB facility: in-charge of the financial and time management, and the design, simulations and construction of the facility. • Lead of a project to investigate techniques for the production of isotopically pure terbium isotopes for cancer imaging and treatment.• Coordinator of the EU-funded European Researchers’ Night event; primary outreach activity of the University of Jyväskylä involving 400+ staff members.• Co-coordinator of the EU-funded Finland-wide European Researchers' Night event involving 14 Universities in Finland.• Co-organiser of local Nuclear Physics seminar series.• Responsible for the upgrade and operation of the LN2 autofill and high-voltage systems for 43 germanium detectors.• Responsibility for the operation, set-up and maintenance of the SAGE and the SPEDE conversion electron spectrometers and the JUROGAM germanium detector array.• Student supervision.

Concentrating on the investigation of proton rich nuclei using the MARA vacuum-mode recoil separator. Development of the MARA Low-Energy Branch.

• Lead for the mechanical and electronic design of the SPEDE electron spectrometer.• Co-coordinator of primary outreach activity of the Accelerator Laboratory (2014) involving 50 scientists and 1150+ visitors.• Co-organiser of Nuclear Physics seminar series.• Responsible for the LN2 autofill and high-voltage systems for 43 germanium detectors.• Partial responsibility for the operation, set-up and maintenance of the SAGE spectrometer and the JUROGAM germanium detector array.• Student supervision.
