Responsible for driving business growth, fostering partnerships, and identifying investment opportunities that contribute to economic development and industrialisation in Africa.From 2010 to 2011, I was seconded to the Strategic High Impact Projects division while in the Rest of Africa team. Here, I played a pivotal role in the inception of the department, contributing to its establishment before it evolved into a fully-fledged Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Responsibilities included spearheading the development of infrastructure project pipelines across South Africa. Additionally, provided essential support to the unit Head, collaborating closely with state-owned enterprises and government entities to accelerate the delivery of infrastructure projects and drive industrial development initiatives forward.

Additionally, tasked with establishing systems and procedures for the department, ensuring compliance with Audit Committee standards. Included crafting tailored due diligence processes that align with IDC requirements as well as facilitating thorough assessments of potential investments.

Responsible for fostering strategic partnerships with stakeholders involved in youth employment across Southern Africa, including the private sector, government, and civil society. Key is to comprehensive needs assessments to identify capacity-building requirements for youth employment stakeholders in the region. Includes overseeing the management of research consultants, from drafting terms of reference to contract agreements. Also tasked with monitoring and evaluating service providers to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the Youth Entrepreneurs initiative's implementation in Southern Africa.
